Benoit, age 8,has a pain that won’t go away, so his mother Melanie takes him to the dentist.Once in the dentist’s chair, it turns out that her son’s problems are muchlarger than a simple toothache… Le Soulier, a dark comedy by David Paquet,multiple award-winning author, is an hilarious and unsettling play in which empathy triumphs over illness.

Glory! A Gospel Music Celebration

Sharing the bill alongside Malian guitarist Habib Koitéand lutist Bassekou Kouyate, the nine-member choral group returns to a sold-outChan Centre for the first time since 2006 on their global tour of Shaka ZuluRevisited: 30th Anniversary Celebration, for which they earned the Best WorldMusic Album of 2018 and their fifth Grammy Award. Designated by Nelson Mandelaas “South Africa’s cultural ambassadors to the world,” Ladysmith Black Mambazospread a message of peace in their music. Former collaborator Paul Simon saysthat “sheer joy and love” emanate from the ensemble’s very being.
